Overview
Between Painters surveys a group of emerging female-identifying and non-binary artists from across Australia who have collaborated in an experimental project in allocated pairs.
Artists were invited to take risks and explore collaboration as a means of enquiring about their own practice and to be challenged through creating.This project is focused on exploring an artist’s practice through the means of disruption and challenging their understanding of their own process, artwork construction and aesthetics through working with another artist. Between Painters is in its first year as a project, with intentions for the project to be ongoing on a yearly basis.
